Want to join a small local arts business run by women in East Austin? MakeATX is seeking to hire a Wholesale Czar to manage the retail and wholesale customer service, sales and fulfillment of our Bright Beam Goods product line. The job responsibilities will include:

  • communicating with buyers via email and over the phone

  • managing retail and wholesale email accounts

  • writing up new wholesale orders

  • managing, preparing and shipping retail and wholesale orders

  • ensuring that each order is fulfilled on time

  • managing and following any special shipping instructions

  • following up with stores to track down any missing information needed to process an order

  • reaching out to buyers who haven’t ordered recently

  • keeping track of inventory and alerting production team when items need to be made

  • managing and ordering shipping supplies as needed

  • assisting in-person at biannual wholesale shows (August and February)

Seeking part time employee (around 20 hrs per week), initial hourly pay rate $13/hr. For training purposes, the new employee will be expected to mirror the schedule of the current Wholesale Czar for the first few months (Sundays from 11-3, Mondays from 3pm-10pm, Wednesdays from 3pm-10pm).  After the initial training period, schedules may be flexible.
