Description: Assemble your own, customized acrylic jewelry sets with Katie Cowden at this zero waste class! Students will get to rummage through a beautiful array of acrylic shapes and colors. Each student will also get an option to customize acrylic pieces at the laser cutter - perhaps adding a monogram or special graphic. Katie Cowden will guide the entire process, sharing her assembly tricks and painting techniques so that you’ll leave with ready to wear pieces that are truly your own. And best yet, everything here has been made with acrylic scraps from MakeATX and/or thrifted from Austin Creative Reuse. So entirely zero waste!

Attendance and cancellation policies: Please note refunds are available to those who cancel with at least 72 hour notice. 

If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home! Class credit shall be granted to those who cancel less than 72 hours before the start of class. To ensure we are able to cover all material in a timely manner, students must arrive promptly. Tardiness of more than 15 minutes will result in a student forfeiting his or her place in the class.

Parking: After hours parking for class attendees is available in the reserved spaces on the north side of the building. If you choose to park on the street, please avoid parking in front of our residential neighbors!
