Description: Mellow out and make your own meditative mandalas! In this class you will learn how to create a mandala design in Adobe Illustrator, which you will then laser cut into a beautiful decorative piece with the help of our talented designers and shop attendants.

These wooden mandalas are designed to be colored - a fun activity that brings out your inner artist while calming the mind. Mandalas can be used as tabletop centerpieces or mounted on walls; we will provide jigs, mounting brackets and instructions as needed. BYOB optional.

Prerequisites: None (though some graphics software knowledge may be helpful)

Attendance and cancellation policies: Please note refunds are available to those who cancel with at least 72 hour notice. 

If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home! Class credit shall be granted to those who cancel less than 72 hours before the start of class. To ensure we are able to cover all material in a timely manner, students must arrive promptly. Tardiness of more than 15 minutes will result in a student forfeiting his or her place in the class.

Location: MakeATX is a beautiful laser cutting studio located in downtown Austin, just two blocks east of I35. Our studio is nestled near the food trucks at Arbor Food Park. Hot tea, sparkling water, and relaxing music provided by MakeATX.

Parking: After hours parking for class attendees is available in the reserved spaces on the north side of the building. If you choose to park on the street, please avoid parking in front of our residential neighbors!
